Seth Godin said, “Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t need to escape from.”

While I completely agree with Seth Godin and try to model my life by these sentiments, I am not going to miss an opportunity to travel this beautiful world.

This past week has found me in the great state of California. Even though the temperatures have only been in the mid 60’s I have made sure to find some beach time. It has been glorious.

I quickly fell in love with the brightly colored little buildings and houses built into the hillside.

Not to mention the vibrant colors of the vegetation. Everything in my home town of Idaho Falls is still a bit drab, so to say that the pops of color here in California have been appreciated would be an understatement.

The sounds of the waves crashing onto the shore has always been a favorite of mine. Being blessed with the opportunity to travel and photograph has been a dream come true.
